Machine Learning cloud pipelines - Microsoft Cognitive Services, Azure ML (PL)
Mariusz Gil / Bottega IT minds
Building a Machine Learning pipeline is much easier today than a couple of years ago. We don’t need to spend our time on designing and implementing ML algorithms from scratch, because there are plenty of ready-to-use solutions on the market. From single-purpose libraries, through ML frameworks and ecosystems to highly dedicated cloud services… Using any of them, we can focus on the most important part, designing ML pipeline and delivering results for the business. During this session we are going to introduce Microsoft Machine Learning and Cognitive services, discuss some ML concepts with possible business applications and finally design, implement and expose pipelines to get results based on real data.

How to build proper Single Sign On (EN)
Vyacheslav Mikhailov / DataArt, Petersburg
Authentication is one of the most critical parts in modern applications. Number of applications and their complexity grows over time but we can keep important parts simple and easy to implement.Let’s talk about how to add flexible Single Sign On to your web applications with literally a few lines of code. We will discuss basic concepts of OAuth2 and consider a few classic architecture styles and proper authentication schemas for each case.

Asynchronous processing (r)evolution in JavaScript
Bartosz Matosiuk / DataArt, Lublin
Nikodem Szatkowski / DataArt, Lublin
Asynchronous processing is all over a place in most of a frontend projects. It was always like that in the JavaScript world. Now in the advent of microservices and SPAs - sometimes very badly designed – it is crucial to be able to build simple and resilient code base to support raising needs. Let’s see how JavaScript evolution is helping devs to tackle this problem and take it to the ground.

Growing as an expert – when just technologies is not enough (EN)
TetyanaGolubyeva / DataArt, Lviv
It looks very clear that the main value of a technical engineer is what technologies they can work with and on what level. Surprisingly, it is true that for a lot of clients this is not a value at all. What value an expert should bring to the client, what skills it should cover and why it is so - we will talk about it during our discussion. Also, we will look at types of projects outsourcing works with and why does it matter for each engineer. To cut a long story short, let’s just go beyond the stereotype of a good technical expert.

Do you trust your devices? (PL)
AndrzejSzukiewicz / DataArt, Lublin
Nowadays, we are more and more dependent on the devices – smartphones being the perfect example of that. Who needs navigation? Who needs camera? Who needs to visit the bank? Smartphone is all you need. Of course your smartphone is not your only friend, you have more of them, right? Your car will stop on its own, if you’re too busy to notice that the car in front of you stopped (shame on you, smartphone addict). Your fishes will be magically fed. Your flowers will be watered. World is such a bright, friendly and helpful place now, right?
But is it really?
